Sticky Chicken Wings
Yield: about 17 wings
Ingredients:
3 pounds chicken wings
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves
For the sauce
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Tabasco
1 teaspoon ginger powder
1 teaspoon ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Directions:
Whisk together ingredients for the sauce.
Place wings into a slow cooker.
Pour sauce over wings and and gently toss.
Cook on low heat for 3-4 hours or high heat for 1-2 hours.
Whisk together cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water.
Add mixture to the slow cooker and stir.
Cook on high until the sauce has thickened (10-15 minutes).
Line a baking sheet with foil and add wings.
Broil until caramelized and slightly charred (2-3 minutes).
Garnished with sesame seeds and cilantro and serve.
